Keeping our waterways clean is very important to us and should be very important to you. 

Make sure to never blow grass clipping in the streets and do not leave grass clippings in your street or street curb gutters for the rain to take away.  Instead use those clipping for free and natural fertilizer for your lawn.

Also, please remember to clean up after pets.  If you don't, the bacteria that is left behind will contaminate the storm runoff water that goes right into our waterways, where we play and drink from.  The cities throughout Hampton Roads take this matter very seriously.  For more information about contamination and code violations and fines, please refer to your local city website.
